A Love Story: The Birth of LOVEONLY

In 2008, I left my management role at Google to pursue my passion for the diamond industry, which in my view was strongly associated with the highest human emotion: love. My vision was to revolutionize the market, using the internet to build the ‘Alibaba of diamonds,’ making the industry more transparent and respected. Thanks God, I managed to found the largest diamond trading platform in Asia since 2012, and pioneered a high-end investment diamond brand.

However, I faced a harsh reality along the journey.

What should have been a symbol of love and beauty was often nothing more than a tool for merchants to manipulate and profit. Instead of sincerity and devotion, I saw deception, vanity, and greed. The purity of diamonds—meant to represent eternal love—was tainted by commercial exploitation.

Why was this happening? Through years of reflection and countless nights of prayer, I found my answer—and, more importantly, my life’s purpose.
